Hunter Biden, 54, had been accompanied by 18 agents, while Ashley Biden, 43, had 13 agents assigned to her protection. Trump deemed these security measures unnecessary, arguing that they went beyond standard protocol.
Secret Service protection for former presidents’ family members usually ends when they leave office. However, both Biden and Trump extended protections for their children. In 2021, Trump had granted a six-month extension for his own children after leaving office.
