In 2025, Social Security payments will follow this schedule:
- Second Wednesday: For those born on the 1st–10th.
- Third Wednesday: For those born on the 11th–20th.
- Fourth Wednesday: For those born on the 21st–31st.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments are generally sent on the 1st of each month. If the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be made on the prior business day. For instance, the January 2025 SSI payment will be sent on December 31, 2024, as January 1 is a holiday.
For beneficiaries who began receiving Social Security before May 1997 or those receiving both Social Security and SSI, payments are issued on the 3rd of each month unless it’s a weekend or holiday.
