In a heated Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Adam Schiff and Attorney General Pam Bondi engaged in a fierce confrontation that quickly turned personal, centering on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and alleged bribery involving former ICE director Tom Homan. The exchange highlighted growing tensions over how the Justice Department is handling politically sensitive cases.
From the start, Schiff pressed Bondi on whether her office interfered with investigations linked to Epstein and whether the Department of Justice under her leadership has shown favoritism toward political allies. He demanded to know why reports of a $50,000 bribe allegedly tied to Homan were dismissed without formal charges, suggesting a pattern of selective prosecution.
Bondi fired back sharply, calling the accusations “baseless and politically motivated.” She said internal reviews by the FBI and the Deputy Attorney General found “no evidence of wrongdoing” and accused Schiff of “grandstanding for the cameras.” Her tone quickly escalated as she told the senator, “If you worked for me, you’d be fired for making claims like that.”
Schiff refused to back down.
