Rubio: Trump Administration Deported Hundreds of Venezuelans

Senator Marco Rubio confirmed that the Trump administration deported over 250 Venezuelans, many allegedly linked to the gang Tren de Aragua. These deportations proceeded despite a federal judge’s order blocking their removal.

President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to justify the deportations, but U.S. District Judge James Boasberg questioned its legality. Nevertheless, flights continued, sparking legal challenges.

El Salvador’s government confirmed that the deportees are now detained in a high-security prison. Human rights groups criticized the move, citing harsh conditions. Rubio defended the deportations as necessary for U.S. security, underscoring the administration’s tough stance on crime.
