A house party near Spanaway Lake High School in Pierce County, Washington, turned deadly early Saturday morning when gunfire erupted, leaving two people dead and four others injured. Deputies arrived to find dozens of juveniles fleeing the chaotic scene.
One male victim was found dead in the street, while five others transported themselves to hospitals. One of them later succumbed to his injuries, while the remaining four, aged 16 to 21, sustained serious but non-life-threatening wounds.
Authorities arrested a juvenile suspect, linking the shooting to a fight that broke out just before deputies arrived. Several homes and vehicles were also hit by gunfire.
The incident has sparked concerns in the community about youth violence and party safety. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and urging the public to come forward with any information.
