White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s behavior during a recent Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump. She described the atmosphere as tense and accused Zelenskyy of being “rude,” suggesting that his attitude could hinder potential peace talks with Russia.

During the meeting, Zelenskyy condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin for violating a ceasefire, while Trump and Vice President JD Vance urged him to consider peace negotiations. Leavitt warned that continued U.S. military aid might be reconsidered if Ukraine refused diplomatic solutions.

The situation escalated when a Russian journalist was found in the Oval Office and was promptly removed. Trump later stated that Zelenskyy had disrespected the U.S., and Senator Lindsey Graham suggested Ukraine might need new leadership.

Zelenskyy later responded, expressing gratitude for U.S. support but emphasizing the need for security guarantees before peace talks.
