The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch for Southern California as a powerful storm moves in from Wednesday through Friday. Rainfall could reach up to 6 inches in higher elevations, increasing the risk of flooding and mudslides, especially in wildfire burn areas.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has issued evacuation warnings for high-risk neighborhoods, including Palisades, Mandeville Canyon, and Sunset. These warnings will take effect from Thursday morning until Friday afternoon, with possible evacuation orders from law enforcement.

Authorities have set up concrete barriers and distributed thousands of sandbags to help mitigate flood risks. Residents are urged to stay informed, prepare for possible evacuations, and follow official updates from local agencies.
