Two people are dead following a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping center in San Jose, according to local law enforcement.
The San Jose Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunfire at the commercial complex and discovered a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency response efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later confirmed that the suspected gunman also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators believe the incident involved a man who shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself. Police have not released the names of those involved pending notification of next of kin.
