U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced the arrest of Henrry Josue Villatoro Santos, a high-ranking leader of the violent MS-13 gang. Villatoro, a 24-year-old Salvadoran national residing illegally in the U.S., was taken into custody in Woodbridge, Virginia. Authorities discovered multiple firearms in his possession, leading to charges of illegal weapon possession.
The operation involved federal agencies including the FBI, ICE, and ATF, resulting in the arrests of over 340 individuals linked to MS-13. FBI Director Kash Patel credited the success to strong law enforcement collaboration.
President Donald Trump praised the arrest, reaffirming his administration’s crackdown on gang violence and illegal immigration. He has also ordered increased surveillance along the U.S.-Mexico border to track criminal activity.
MS-13, notorious for its brutality and extortion tactics, has been a key target in ongoing federal efforts to improve public safety. Bondi emphasized that Villatoro’s capture marks a major step in dismantling the gang’s operations and protecting American communities.
